TEMPORARY CHANGES

As Summer 2020 wraps up, we Seattleites continue to listen to the experts and do all we can to flatten the curve and slow the spread of Coronavirus. We're busy adapting our programs to rise to the occasion, but this has meant making a few changes to our usual Fall operations:

  • AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS: As we plan a fresh online approach to our After-School Programs,  we are not currently accepting new applications for the 2020-2021 school year this Fall.  (However, our Workshops program will return this Fall, digitally!)

  • WORKSHOPS: Our Workshops program will return digitally this Fall. Sign-up will be available once individual workshops get posted on our Workshops page.

  • EDUCATORS & SCHOOL PARTNERS: Please contact us if you are an educator who'd like your classroom to collaborate with Fearless Ideas on a creative project.

  • VOLUNTEERS: We are currently not accepting new volunteer applications, but will soon!  Volunteers who are already oriented, approved, and on-boarded will be contacted with opportunities as they become available.

STAY CONNECTED

We truly miss being together with familiar friends and meeting new ones. We encourage everyone to:

SUBSCRIBE to the Fearless Times (our online blog) to get updates about new opportunities, see links to cool events and online happenings, practice Mindful Moments, and explore our FREE creative writing prompts and activities.

Follow us on Instagram to see the latest pics and posts from the Fearless Ideas community about events, projects, goings-on, and great moments of Fearlessness!

Trusted Info Sources

DURING THIS PANDEMIC

we're staying informed and following best practices and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, the Washington State Department of Health, and King County Public Health. We're in close contact with other public-serving organizations in Seattle and following the lead of Seattle Public Schools, where most of our students attend.

STAY HEALTHY, STAY INFORMED

Here are some links we are using to stay on top of the fast-paced news about COVID-19. We recommend taking a look and keeping informed daily.

  • Center for Disease Control (CDC) has a page dedicated to COVID-19 information. They will have the most up-to-date globally relevant information on the virus.

  • Washington State Department of Health also has a page dedicated to COVID-19, particularly actions, programs, and recommendations relevant to the entire state.

  • King County Health Department  has a page with local updates. This link is the best way to stay informed about local outbreaks, workplace recommendations, and local resources available to those that suspect they may be infected.

  • Seattle Public Schools will keep the public updated on school closures and communicate info about their plans.
