The Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas (BFI) is looking for a few exceptional folks to step up and join us as board members. We are an organization committed to creating communities of kind, creative, and fearless student writers & storytellers across Seattle so that they may unleash the power of their own voices.

Founded in 2005 as 826 Seattle, BFI has evolved to become a local community institution. Located in Yesler Terrace, we have connections at schools and other organizations across the Puget Sound region.

​

Over the years, we’ve served thousands of students ages 6 to 18 in in-school and afterschool writing and storytelling programs, published hundreds of books of student works, run a multitude of workshops and summer programs, and helped young people tell their own stories.

 

We believe in the life-changing power of fearless creativity and self-expression. Once introduced to us, our young people return year over year to keep learning, growing, and mentoring their peers.
