Welcome to Summer, 2023!

The Bureau of Fearless Ideas is so excited to invite you to apply for one or more of the following summer writing & storytelling adventures. This summer, we’ll head to the beach to explore the intertidal zone, we’ll go to the University of Washington to uncover the secret life of plants, we'll work alongside local poets and comics artists, and so much more.

Our Greenwood Programs have ended for the summer, and our Yesler Terrace programs are winding down.

Soon, we'll be gearing up for Fall Programs, with an aim to start in late September or early October. More information coming soon. Check out our After School Writing page for updates and don't forget to follow Fearless Ideas on Instagram, too!

I enjoyed the ways you were able to connect us with ourselves and the whole group through writing and creativity."

ADVENTURE TIME WITH BFI (@ YESLER TERRACE)

(for rising grades 3-5)

Location: Fearless Ideas Yesler Terrace location.

Can you hear that? Is it the roar of dragons in the International District? Is it the swish-swish sound of sailing the Salish sea? That, my friends, is the call to adventure for the most intrepid 3rd - 5th grade writers in Seattle to band together to document their adventures as they explore Yesler Terrace, the Central District… and beyond. We will meet at the Yesler Terrace field office, then branch out on short writing jaunts. Get ready for a field trip to the International District, a rousing round of Ferry Tales and much, much more. What stories await you around the next corner?
